FLYING FISH

There was a lot of stuff going on at the time this came into being. Student loans had just come out, The Norwegians were getting ugly at the International Whaling Conference, the tory government brought out a bunch of half baked laws to try and prevent people gathering for any sort of celebration, it all stank. At the bottom of it all humanity seemed to be disappearing, drowning under a mountain of greed.What's a boy to do? Any revolution starts inside. Unfortunately some people mistake this for religion and get sidetracked. Others just leap-frog the personal revolution and get straight in there with the rest of the rioters. Sometimes things are too clear for people to understand, it's like not seeing the wood for the trees.

SEVERAL NATIVES

This is another one triggered off by current events. The Yanomami Native People were being abandoned by the Brazillian government to huge logging firms that just bought the land and burnt the Yanomami off their ancestorial lands. Survival did a huge campaign that brought the plight of theYanomami into the public eye. Some of the the damage was averted, some already done. It should never have happened.

DEAD FIRE

Procrastination. The magpie thief of time. Waiting for something to happen. Looking to someone else for things to change. Never happens.

SPRIRT OF OPENING

This was just something to spice up an instrumental, so it does not have any real background. Having said that, it is an excellent chant.

COMMUNION

This song is trying to convey within images feelings that love and or enlightenment bring. That wasn't easy. Sometimes there isn't a clear cut 'what's it about then?' answer. Sometimes a song is just to get something off your chest.
